Art in the Square October 6 & 7, 2012
Art lovers braved gray skies and chilly weather to shop among the unique treasures on offer from 80 fine artists from Texas and around the country at the fourth annual Georgetown Art in the Square in Georgetown, Texas.
As always, the weekend featured plenty of great music. Austin duo Heartstrings enchanted crowds all weekend with music for the Chapman stick. The Georgetown High School Orchestra performed selections from Fiddler on the Roof, Phanton of the Opera, and Handel's Messiah on the courthouse lawn, and the Georgetown Festival of the Arts presented a free recital of 19th- and 20th-century Russian music.
At Kids Create, sponsored this year by All Things Kids, the little ones got a chance to create their own unique sand art treasures. It was a great show in spite of the unseasonably cool weather! |
